Emirates NBD Bank SMS On Automatic Money Deduction From Account

Updated by: Alex George on April 23, 2025

Our UAE reporter, Adil Muhammed, mentioned how an SMS error caused frustration among Emirates NBD bank customers.

Adil Muhammed is a Junior Tech Reporter at CoreNetworkZ Tech Solutions.

Many Emirates NBD customers received an SMS telling them the bank had debited money from their accounts as an RA DISB MIGRATION charge. This SMS caused panic, and users posted their complaints on the bank's social media pages.

Adil Muhammed interviewed one Emirates NBD customer, Hamza Rahim, about the issue. He said he received the SMS in the morning. He thought someone had hacked his bank account and withdrawn money.

So, he contacted the customer support. Emirates NBD customer care explained to Hamza that his money was safe. The SMS was a system mistake during a server update.

Adil Muhammed contacted a bank staff member, and he gave him the same answer.

The Bank Staff demanded Adil not to publish his name.

He told Adil to ignore the SMS as it was an error. None of their customers lost money from the account.

What Is 'RA DISB MIGRATION' Notification?

Adil asked him what was this 'RA DISB MIGRATION' notification. The bank staff said it was nothing, just an unintentional error during the bank server upgrade.

He suggested Adil mention the ENBD transaction alerts and authorization codes to the readers of CoreNetworkZ Tech Solutions. So, Adil suggested including this official link sent by the bank staff.

Confirmation of the Error from Emirates NBD

Adil's contact at the Emirates NBD was correct. The bank confirmed the error and requested customers to ignore the SMS related to 'RA DISB MIGRATION.'

You can see their response on their X social account. It confirms this automatic money deduction SMS from Emirates NBD was an error (during their banking system upgrade).
