Motorola has introduced its latest 5G smartphone, Moto g54, in India. It is already a huge sensation as the first 12GB RAM and 256 GB storage phone with an affordable price for Indian customers.
Customers can choose three different versions of Moto g54. They are:
8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
We received both versions (8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage + 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage) and checked the phone as an end user.
You can read our review and final thoughts about the Moto g54 after usage for five days.
Build Quality of Moto G54
It has a stylish design with a glass front. However, the rear is plastic, and some users may not like it.
The display is 120 HZ IPS LCD with panda glass protection.
Those who prefer AMOLED screens may complain why Motorola still uses LCD for displays.
Some users see it as a negative point for Moto g54.
Moto g54 has a water-repellent design.
Our team sees the design of the Moto g54 as lightweight and comfortable to handle. The IP52 water-repellent design is much appreciated.
Design and Body
Moto g54 has a slim design with 8.9 mm thickness and a weight of 192 grams.
The front panel is glass, and the rear is plastic. You can find the fingerprint sensor on the right side.
The fingerprint sensor and power button are on the right side.
I like this. It is easier to unlock the phone when you are in a hurry. The power button is also on the right side.
You can find the Hybrid dual SIM slot on the left side of the Moto g54. It supports nano SIM and MicroSD cards.
The Hybrid SIM tray limits the user to pick a second SIM or MicroSD card.
So, the problem is with the use of a second SIM card. You cannot use a second SIM card if the Moto g54 5G phone has a storage card.
Some users will find it a little bit disturbing.
Performance of Moto g54
Moto g54 has two versions (12 GB RAM and 8 GB RAM) with MediaTek Dimensity 7020 octa-core processor.
Moto g54 has the IMG BXM-8-256 GPU.
For a mid-range phone, it is a good deal. The UI is smooth, and the OS is Android 13.
I faced no overheating issues while playing games on Moto g54.
The next point we checked was the sound quality. The loudspeaker supports the Dolby Atmos system.
Moto g54 is a 5G phone.
We are satisfied with the sound quality of the Moto g54.
Moto g54 Photo and Video Quality Review
The camera is decent for a phone in this price range. It has a 50 MP with an OIS Main camera. It also has an 8MP ultrawide camera with an LED flashlight.
We can take wide-angle photos with the Moto g54 phone.
We can take 1080p video with the Main camera.
It has a decent selfie camera with an 8MP LED flashlight.
Moto g54 Phone Battery Review
It has a 6000 mAh Li-Po battery. The battery life is good, but we do not like they keep the battery non-removable.
If you wish to replace the battery in the future, only an authorized service center can do it.
You can find a 33-watt charger that supports fast recharging.
Motorola Device Support
Motorola will provide one-year Android support and three-year security updates. Moto G54 runs on Android 13, and we believe it gets Android 14.
Motorola offers an extended device warranty of up to three years with MotoCare.

Is Moto G54 Suitable For Gamers?
This device is suitable for gamers. Gamers will find sensors like Gyroscopes very helpful. This phone has a decent RAM and chipset. That will ensure a smooth gaming experience.
What is Our Final Verdict
We used this phone for five days and are happy with its performance.
However, we find some negative points, like the plastic frame, LCD screen, and the hybrid SIM port.
But the plus points are more like high battery life, better RAM and chipset, 256 GB storage, smooth UI, etc.
