Updated by: Alex George on March 24, 2025

Welcome to CoreNetworkZ Tech Solutions. Today, I will explain how to set up Telus Mobility 5G APN on a smartphone.

TELUS Mobility is one of the leading mobile network operators in Canada. They provide high-speed 5G, 4G, and LTE data services in various Canadian provinces.

This article teaches how to set up TELUS Mobility high-speed mobile Internet on iPhones and Android phones.

Once you set up the 5G APN settings, you can access Telus mobile data service on your phone.

Let us check the steps to configure Telus 5G APN on Android and iOS devices.

How to Configure Telus 5G APN on an Android Phone?

Let me start with Lidiya's question about configuring TELUS 5G Internet on her Samsung Galaxy. Lidiya is one of my regular readers and a realtor from Toronto. She bought a new Samsung Galaxy and wanted to set up Mobile Internet.

The important part of configuring Telus Mobile Internet on an Android phone is adding TELUS 5G APN. Let us check how to do it.

  1. Tap on Settings.

-- means keep the field blank.

  6. Save the Changes and restart your Android Phone.

You have successfully configured Telus 5G mobile Internet connection on an Android handset.

A few readers of CoreNetworkZ Tech Solutions mentioned that even after configuring the TELUS Mobility 5G APN, they could not access the Internet on their phones. Well, my solution is simple. Reboot the phone after completing the steps.

After the reboot, you can access Telus 5G mobile Internet on your Android phone.

Now, we will check the procedure for accessing a Telus Canada 5G mobile Internet connection on an iPhone.

Set Up Telus 5G Mobile Internet on an iPhone

Khushwant Dhaliwal, a first-time visitor in Canada, asked for assistance in configuring Telus 5G on his iPhone. Let me answer him and all other first-time users in this section.

If you are in Canada for the first time, or your iPhone is accessing the Telus 5G network for the first time, you must configure the APN settings first.

Check the steps to configure TELUS Mobility 5G APN on iPhones below.

  1. Tap on Settings.

  2. Tap on Mobile Data.

Telus 5G Internet is slow on my iPhone.

    Turn on Mobile Data.

  3. Tap on Mobile Data Network.

Telus 5G Internet is not working on my iPhone.

  4. Now enter the following details into the fields under Mobile Data.

    APN sp.telus.com
    Username --
    Password --

  5. Enter the following details under Personal Hotspot.

    APN sp.telus.com
    Username --
    Password --

  6. Fill the fields under MMS with the following details.

    APN sp.telus.com
    Username --
    Password --
    MMSC http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mmsc
    MMS Proxy 74.49.0.18
    MMS Max Message Size 1048576
    MMS UA Prof URL http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf

  7. Once you fill in the fields, save the changes and exit the window.

Now your iPhone will access Telus Mobility 5G mobile data service. However, in rare cases, you may need to reboot your iPhone.

Once you add the Telus 5G APN values to the iPhone, reboot it to access the mobile Internet.

Telus Mobile Internet is Not Working

One of my readers, David Arnett, complained in the comment section that he faces trouble accessing the Internet on the Telus Mobility connection.

I mentioned his complaint with my friend Richard Pitroda, who moves a lot between Canada and the USA.

Richard Pitroda is an ISP Engineer.

Based on a discussion with Richard Pitroda, I suggest a three-step solution for David. If your mobile phone cannot access Telus 5G data service, follow the steps.

  1. Make sure your phone has a good Telus signal. Change the phone location and check for network coverage.

  2. Check the APN settings on your phone and update it with the latest Telus 5G APN values.

  3. If the issue persists, visit the Telus support page for more assistance.

    Hello Alex,

I am coming to Canada and plan to take Telus 5G Network. I already have an iPhone. So can I set up the Internet settings by myself, or should I ask a technician to do it for me?
